Shutter Sisters
Stephanie Roberts is a partner and regular contributer to Shutter Sisters, a collaborative women's photography blog where she publishes words and images on the second and fourth Monday's of each month. Shutter Sisters is committed to honoring and celebrating the beauty that women behind cameras can capture. We embrace the belief that we are all creative equals, eager to share with one another our work; our art. It is in that sharing that we thrive and grow not only in our creativity but in all facets of our lives.
Atlanta Photography Group
Stephanie is a member of the Atlanta Photography Group (APG). The organizations primary goal is to promote and support contemporary photography as a significant art form. It seeks to challenge photographic conventions, stimulate new thinking and exploration of experimental forms of photographic expression. These goals are supported through a wide range of activities that are overseen by a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board and a Curatorial Panel drawn from the Atlanta photographic community. APG is an artist-initiated 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization.
American Society of Media Photographers
Stephanie is an Emerging Associate of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) – a resource for community, culture, commerce and publications relating to publication photography. ASMP promotes photographers' rights, educates photographers in better business practices, produces business publications for photographers and helps buyers find professional photographers. ASMP was founded in 1944 by a handful of the world's leading photojournalists and is recognized internationally for its leadership role. ASMP has over 5,000 members, including many of the world's greatest photographers, in 39 chapters nationwide.
Silver Eye Center for Photography
Stephanie is a member of the Silver Eye Center for Photography, an organization dedicated to fostering the practice, appreciation and understanding of photography as an art form and as a powerful form of visual communication. The organization's gallery space is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
BlogHer
Stephanie has been a member and supporter of BlogHer since 2006 and has provided podcasting support (powered by ListenShare) for the Annual BlogHer Conference in 2006 and 2008, as well as the BlogHer Business Conference in 2006 and 2007. Through these experiences, she has cultivated relationships with an amazing collection of women bloggers (too numerous to name). BlogHer is an online women's community creating opportunities for women who blog to pursue exposure, education, community and economic empowerment. Today BlogHer provides the number-one community for and guide to blogs by women, reaching more than eight million women each month.
