Artist Statement
With my photographs, I encourage viewers to pause, to notice, and to reflect on subtle beauties and unique compositions in common objects and spaces often overlooked. The gentle curve of a spoon… tiny reflections in a rain drop on a naked branch… the golden hue of chai tea steaming in a vintage mug… crumpled leaves in a frozen moment… jagged thorns carving chunks from negative space… a newborn calf squinting at the sun.
Such visual moments draw me to creep in close and study the details, abstract shapes, and complex textures in natural light. I compose contemporary, sometimes abstract views.
