I could feel the connection between Mama Lucy and Jen develop shortly after we arrived in Arusha, Tanzania. Maybe it was the way they listened to each other so intentionally. The warmth and fluidity of their conversation. It's such a gift to witness and reflect on these moments – the beginnings of things. At this moment, Mama Lucy and I didn't know that she would travel far from her home to share her story at the European Summit for Global Transformation. She wasn't on the agenda.
