A Hint of Electricity

I wonder what makes us turn away from the spark of something extraordinary. A hint of electricity within reach. Maybe it's fear. Maybe it's resistance to the change that would undoubtedly ripple from the source of connection. I'm not worthy, I've heard myself whisper aloud. And what if I indulge myself in that grace to find that the very act of placing the palm of my hand on something so powerful, would cause it to vanish into thin air. Leaving me.... empty. But what if it didn't?
