The Sinking In

Grace had been apart from her mother, Odette, for four years. It was really moving to see how easily they sunk into one another in such a short span of time. This image was made in Jen Lemen's living room on their second night together in Silver Spring. Despite the intense hardship of that four-year seperation, it was like no time had passed in the presence of this moment.
