Rwanda's Hope (30)
What images come to mind when you think of Rwanda? Genocide. Tragedy. Poverty. Rwanda is home to a nation of people who have witnessed hatred, lost family members at the hands of neighbors, and struggled most of their lives as refugees in surrounding countries including Uganda, Tanzania, and Congo. Despite years of hardship, their story is one of perseverance, triumph, and forgiveness as they steadily rebuild their homeland with hopeful hearts. -
Picture Hope: Journey to Tanzania (26)
Shepherds Jr. School in Arusha, Tanzania began as a seed of hope in the heart of Mama Lucy Kamptoni. Using what few resources she had - some chicken-and-egg money, the land beneath her home, and a strong dose of faith - she grew that seed of hope to house 350 young students. Thanks to our partner Epic Change, we had the opportunity to document and share this story and the welcome introduction of technology and Internet access to this school. -
